What is called safety period?

if we r taking 28 days as a cycle .which is the safe period and unsafe period
Answer:
It is exactly abstinence during the fertile period. This safe period depends on the avoidance of sexual intercourse during the probable dates of ovulation. In a 28 days cycle , ovulation occurs on 14th day of the cycle. Even here sometimes ovulation may occur anywhere between 12th 16th day, Spermatozoa deposited in the female genital tract may survive up to3 days so that intercourse which occurs at anytime between 9th day 16 th day could result in conception. The ovum itself will live for 24 hours so that intercourse between 9th to 17th day results in pregnancy. So the safe period from the 1st day of the menstrual period to 8th day of the cycle and from the18th to 28th day. The danger period is five days before ovulation to three days after ovulation.
if you know your ovulation period ( whch could be on the 13th to 15th day of your cycle)i.e the period a woman releases eggs which if met with the sperm she is likely to get pregnant. This ovulation period is the unsafe period which in most women is two to three days in the cycle. If you have a cycle of 28 days, your safe period is from the end of you period to say the 11th day of the cycle counting from the 1st day of your period and from the 16th day of your cycle to the start of the next period.
the day you start your period is day 1

on a 28 day cycle, days 11 though 17 are the unsafe period... every other day is the safe period
not to ask this sort question. ask your wife.
10 days after onset of period and after 20th day if the cycle is regular.
better to consult a gynaecologist in this rgard
