a cyst can be alot of things. it could be tissue, fluid, or air. some go away but some need to be removed surgically. i had one on my left wrist. doctor said it was just built up fluid and it would go away. and it did.

Ovarian cysts get to be around the size of a grapefruit (my friend's was the size of a bowling ball though) and can have teeth and/or hair growing in them (don't ask how...).
